We always knew flight attendants were Superheroes and now United Airlines is celebrating that fact… kind of! As the official airline for Team USA at this years Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in South Korea, United Airlines has released a very cool new commercial celebrating its 38-year relationship between the airline and the United States Olympic Committee.

Set to an anthemic, Superhero soundtrack, United set out to show the world the “unique powers necessary to get to the Games.”  But it’s not just the athletes that United wanted to celebrate – extending the superhero theme to its 90,000 employees who “go above and beyond to get customers to their destinations safely, comfortably and on time.”

Commenting on the theme of the video, United vice president for marketing, Mark Krolick said: “The tie between superheroes and Team USA athletes is clear – they are regular people who use their exceptional talents to accomplish the incredible.”

Krolick explained: “For close to four decades, our employees have called upon their unique skills – transporting hundreds of thousands of customers every day, while working in rapidly changing weather conditions and providing exceptional service – to give the ‘power of flight’ to Team USAathletes, getting them to competitions around the globe.”
