A United Airlines passenger who slammed flight attendants in a Facebook post after he was forced to stand in the aisle for 20 minutes while they went through the cabin with the beverage cart has found himself being roasted by other crew members who have rushed to the defense of their peers.
Christian Thomas Miller, a self-proclaimed digital creator, appears to have had a pretty rough time with United Airlines, as the flight attendants weren’t his only complaint: He also called out a baby that was crying on the plane, the state of the plane’s lavatory, how long it took to get off the plane, and a delay in unloading baggage from the hold.
As for the flight attendants, Christian says he got up to use the lavatory and when he went to return to his seat, the “flight attendants decide that’s the perfect time to start handing out drinks.”
“Fine,” Christian added, before complaining: “But don’t make me stand there for 20 minutes because YOU can’t take five seconds to move the cart enough for me to get by to get to my seat.”
“Instead, I had to stand there like I was grounded while they slowly worked their way through half the plane. Seriously?” Christian said.
“You’re telling me you couldn’t move a couple feet back so ONE passenger could get back to their seat? I paid for this flight. I shouldn’t have to stand in the aisle waiting on a drink cart like I’m in a traffic jam at 35,000 feet.
“A little common sense would’ve gone a long way. Absolutely ridiculous.”
If Christian’s intention was to get sympathy from fellow Facebook users, then, unfortunately, his post very much failed. If the intention was to get attention, though, well, boy, has he succeeded.
“Please plan your potty breaks better. Nobody wants to move a 250lb cart unnecessarily…” one person jokingly replied, while another said: “Just turn the comments off because this isn’t going to go the way you expect.”
Christian has been labelled as “entitled” and lacking the common sense he speaks so highly of, but I actually have some sympathy for him.
As a flight attendant, I can tell you 100% it’s frustrating when passengers jump up to use the bathroom as soon as you go into the cabin and start the service. In my head, I’m thinking, surely they know the service is starting now, can they not wait until we have passed?
But is it that big a deal to let passengers return to their seats, simply by rolling the cart back down the aisle? No! Christian is right, it takes a few seconds.
Sometimes passengers will quite happily wait and apologize for getting in your way, but I would rather move the cart and let them return to their seat, to make sure they have the opportunity to strap in should unexpected turbulence suddenly occur.

I only fly 1st class on united so I have no idea what it’s like to be a coach person. I feel well somewhat sorry for the lower class flyers in back of me. I’ve never seen this cart thing but assume they get their meals and unlimited cocktails in glassware somehow from this cart thing. I’m unclear how it blocks the aisle but I don’t go back to the lower class cabin so maybe someday I will see a photo posted to YouTube by a creator or something but fly in the back , not me I mean not for me 3 in a row um no 2 is fine but 3 no way. Let the poor and govt employee stooges fly back there, must suck to be stewage class. A baby crying well babies do that to me a pro life conservative that makes me smile and when I don’t need to hear it I tune it out with my bose headphones noise cancelling! But the poor I guess are anti baby so in turn a million black babies predominantly are aborted but save those puppies and kittens , anyways that 20 minutes of standing probably helped the low class person and his potential varicose veins – exercise is good for workers what was that saying at the campn” thru work shall come freedom ” yes indeed I’m thinking 20 minutes of stretching mid flight was a good thing – he was probably feeling good when the plane landed. Anyways I had 3 sparkling wines with my braised beef and it was great 1st class on united is great the staff is far better than the American staff and those delta evil clown staff. I don’t think the staff did anything wrong but of course I’m not in the flying biz. As president trump makes America greater everyday perhaps that man will graduate to flying 1st class and never experience his issues again. But for me my view in general to him is ” cancel my subscription I don’t need his issues” nor does the united staff he sounds like a typical drama drama guy.
It’d be funnier if somebody popped a finger in this dude’s butt.
