The suspect in a car plowing incident at the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) on January 23 has now reportedly been arrested on suspicion of aggravated stalking.
Police have identified the suspect as Brian Sutton, 37, from Clinton Township, Michigan, who is now being held on a bond of $250,000 in the stalking case. Should he raise the bond, he will be required to wear a GPS ankle monitor.
The arrest comes as prosecutors consider a slew of other charges against Sutton in the DTW airport incident, including aggravated assault, operating while intoxicated, reckless driving, and malicious destruction of over $20,000 in business property.
Sutton came to worldwide notoriety last month, when he allegedly drove a black Mercedes sedan through the entrance of DTW’s McNamara terminal, ploughing through the check-in area and crashing into a Delta Air Lines baggage desk.
The extraordinary moment was caught on camera by a passenger who was standing just feet away from where the car came crashing through the entrance, sending debris flying.
Thankfully, the check-in area was quiet at the time of the incident at around 7:30 pm, but the Wayne County Airport Authority Fire Department said it treated six people for minor injuries.

Footage of Sutton, wearing a Detroit Lions jersey, getting out of the vehicle and then attempting to run through the TSA checkpoint, before being chased and tackled by law enforcement, quickly went viral.
Sutton is believed to have been suffering a mental health crisis at the time of the incident, although the Detroit Metro Airport’s police department has still submitted evidence to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office for criminal charges to be filed against him.
The incident at DTW raised immediate concerns about security measures in place at the airport, given that there were no physical blockades preventing this type of vehicular attack.
In the aftermath of the incident, DTW has installed 9,000 pound contrete bollads at entrances that lead out onto the car ramp.
