This new take on a classic design will either make you stand out from the crowd of disappear into the background (but enough with the Dad jokes). Rimowa is about to launch a special camouflage edition of its iconic original cabin bag and its set to drop on November 19 for a limited period.
The case is available in either green or pink camouflage (seen in main picture). Rimowa says the camouflage has been designed “to create a harmonious, sophisticated, and dynamic pattern adapted to the shape and structure of the luggage”.
Retailing for $1,470 and available from the Rimowa online store, it’s certainly not the cheapest luggage although it’s more than half the price of Rimowa’s ‘reflection’ cabin case which was designed in collaboration with Moncler.
Not that the eyewatering $3,200 price tag has put people off the ultra-polished aluminum suitcase that is so shiny that it creates a mirror effect. The case is currently out of stock with no sign of when it might start shipping again.
Like most of Rimowa’s cabin cases, the camouflage collection is compatible with size limits for many premium airlines, although you might struggle to get it past a gate agent on a budget carrier. A full list of compatible airlines is available on the Rimowa website.
