A United Airlines flight attendant shared a rude note with Canadian actor Avan Jogia on a recent flight, which was given to the ex-teen heartthrob on an airline-branded note card.
Normally used to thank frequent flyers for their loyalty or congratulate a passenger on a special occasion, this particular United note card was used for a flight attendant to excitedly fangirl with Avan.

“I was low key shakin like a stripper when you entered our gate area,” the note card, which Avan shared on his Instagram story, read.
“I’m excited to have you onboard with us today, the card continued. “Thank you for your artistry, it’s an enjoyment!”
To save the flight attendant any blushes, Avan thoughtfully blanked her name.
The card did not, however, offend Avan, with him instead captioning his post: “Shaking like a stripper is so funny.”
The 33-year-old rose to fame as a teen actor in the sitcom Victorious, which aired on Nickelodeon between 2010 and 2013. Around the same time, he is said to have had an ‘encounter’ with Miley Cyrus.
In 2012, however, Avan entered into a five-year relationship with Zoey Deutch after meeting at the Kids’ Choice Awards, before meeting Australian actress Cleopatra Coleman.
A few years later, in 2021, fans speculated that he had broken up with Cleopatra after noticing that the pair had unfollowed one another on social media. In 2023, Avan was confirmed to be in a relationship with American singer Halsey, and the pair announced their engagement last September.
Did You Know… United Airlines Flight Attendants Aren’t Allowed to Share Photos With Celebrities On Social Media
Last year, United updated its social media guidelines to stop flight attendants from sharing photos taken with celebrities onboard its planes on social media.
The move was designed to better protect the privacy of celebrities who often feel pressured to take photos with their fans even when they are jetlagged and not looking their best at 35,000 feet.
Flight attendants can, of course, still ask to have a photo taken with a celebrity onboard their flight, but the image must not be shared publicly.

Matt’s take
It’s always nice to share a handwritten note with a passenger, whether that be just to acknowledge their loyalty with the airline or because you’ve discovered they are celebrating a special milestone, such as a birthday or engagement.
That being said, as a flight attendant myself, I tend to stick to professional language – after all, flight attendants represent the airline they work for, especially when the note is written on a branded note card.
As for celebrities, I prefer to treat them like any other passenger and create an atmosphere in which they can relax and be themselves.
