Bungling hotel bookers at British Airways booked 12 crew members into a sex motel in Milan, Italy, by mistake. Pilots and cabin crew were then kept awake all night from the sounds of 24-hour orgy taking place in the motel. No, this is not a joke.
According to The Sun, the hotel bookers had to find alternative accommodation for pilots and flight attendants as their normal hotel in the Italian city was unavailable, but they confused two similar-sounding hotels.
Rather than booking the Mo.om Hotel, they booked the Mo.om Motel, which features a sex dungeon and sex themed rooms with bondage equipment that can be booked by the hour.
A source who leaked the story to the British tabloid said that, rather than enjoying the historical sights of Milan, shocked crew members were “confronted with bondage sets, mirrored ceilings, human dog cages and leather harnesses.”
“It was obvious that this wasn’t the place the crew was supposed to stay,” the source continued.
Crew members tried their best to get some rest but were kept awake all night by “thrillseekers moaning and groaning all day and night.”
Along with the shocking room decor, cabin crew also had to confront prostitution and drug dealing outside the motel, as well as “suspicious fluids” in their rooms.
British Airways admitted the mix-up, with a spokesperson explaining: “A small number of crew were moved to unapproved hotel rooms due to availability issues with our usual provider, without our knowledge.”
“We are urgently investigating to prevent a repeat,” the statement added.
Matt’s Take
This is one of those stories that is hard to believe because it sounds so silly. Surprisingly, however, British Airways has confirmed the embarrassing mix-up.
This is particularly concerning given that British Airways is allegedly so protective of its cabin crew that it now bans staffers from taking any photos inside their layover accommodation for fear that a stalker or terrorist could use AI software to pinpoint their location.
Yes, that’s right. Cabin crew have to be apparently protected from themselves and face disciplinary action for posting a photo of themselves in a nondescript hotel room, but the airline put its employees in a sex motel for several days.

It’s a real shame that when online sites and newspapers report these situations or events they don’t get the facts correct, as someone who has received the facts “ hot off the press “ via face time with a crew member staying her while she was in complete shock, I can tell you that whist it’s a true event, the facts are way out 1) 12 crew on a short haul aircraft ? 2) mistake was the hotels not BA’s as both the motel and hotel are owned and run by same company, have same reception and are interconnected. 3) The beds were normal shaped beds, and the photos shown were not from bedrooms in the motel but more “ activity “ rooms located elsewhere in the motel.
But most important, did they join and enjoy the orgy?
