What are different airlines doing to protect passengers and crew?

From full hazmat suited cabin crew to mandating the wearing of face masks, different airlines are taking different approaches to how they protect both passengers and crew against the novel Coronavirus.  These are the latest updates announced by airlines and airports around the world…

How to fit a face mask

  1. Clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water.
  2. Cover your mouth and nose with mask and make sure there are no gaps between your face and the mask.
  3. Avoid touching the mask while using it; if you do, clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water.
  4. Replace the mask with a new one as soon as it is damp and do not re-use single-use masks.
  5. To remove the mask: remove it from behind (do not touch the front of the mask); discard immediately in a closed bin; clean hands with alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water.

  2. Apply enough soap to cover your hands.
  3. Rub your hands together.
  4. Use 1 hand to rub the back of the other hand and clean in between the fingers. Do the same with the other hand.
  5. Rub your hands together and clean in between your fingers.
  6. Rub the back of your fingers against your palms.
  7. Rub your thumb using your other hand. Do the same with the other thumb.
  8. Rub the tips of your fingers on the palm of your other hand. Do the same with other hand.
  9. Rinse your hands with water.
  10. Dry your hands completely with a disposable towel.
