Entitled Airline Passenger Demands Water Just 3 Minutes Before Landing And Then Suggests Cabin Crew’s Refusal Was Racist
- A woman has gone viral on TikTok after getting into an altercation with Air France cabin crew because they refused to give her water with just three minutes to go before landing. Reasonable or out of order?

A woman has been slammed as being entitled after she got into an altercation with flight attendants when she demanded water just three minutes before an Air France flight was about to land at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.
After the cabin crew denied the woman her request because they had been told to strap themselves into their jumpseats in preparation for arrival, the woman then took an unauthorized photo of a flight attendant.
@celrants I hope no one is treated and mocked just cause they need a glass of water to drink. Things can be conveyed in a very polite manner and this is something @Air France needs to do. Train your staff right. #discrimination #freedomofspeech #viralvideos #help ♬ original sound – celrants
That action then escalated the situation to the point that the woman ended up being escorted off the plane by heavily armed police, although commentators on the now-viral incident are divided over who was at fault in the disagreement.
Going by the name of Celrants on TikTok, the woman posted a series of videos showing the aftermath of her request for water after she was detained near the door of the airplane while police were called to assist.
“I wanted water, they denied it to me and were very rude about it,” the woman wrote in the captions of one of the videos which has already been viewed hundreds of thousands of times.
In another video, the woman used the hashtags #discrimination and #racism.
The woman appears to be aggrieved that the cabin crew did not offer to bring her water as soon as the plane landed, although at the heart of the dispute is her decision to take a photo of the flight attendant.
In her videos, the woman says she has been flying since she was a baby and knows her rights, although she might not be aware of French law or internal Air France policies.
In France, the right to privacy is taken very seriously, and you can’t take a photo of another person without their express consent. The so-called Le droit à l’image law is backed up by internal airline policies that forbid passengers from taking photos of cabin crew.
@celrants AIR FRANCE TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR ACTIONS. Nobody should be talked to like this by air stewards. #airfrance #racism #womenofcolour #fyp #vira ♬ original sound – celrants
It appears that the cabin crew asked the woman to delete the photo, but the woman initially refused, and this then eventually ended up with the police being called.
While some commentators thought Air France was wrong for calling the police on the woman, others thought were request for water was ridiculous in the first place.
“She wanted a cup of attention, not water,” one witty person posted in response to her videos, while another said they “were giving entitled.”
Another commentator pleaded with the woman, saying: “babeee come to reality,” while another offered some sage advice: “Just next time, bring a bottle of water with you.”
Matt’s Take
As any flight attendant will tell you, here are certain interactions with passengers that will leave you scratching your head in disbelief. Surely they can’t be getting so upset over something so trivial, you might ask?
Of course, we don’t always know what is going on in someone’s life that might explain their mood or unexpected reaction to a situation, but even then, passengers must still respect airline safety rules and local laws.
During the final descent for landing, a flight attendant switches from any service mindset to one of safety. That doesn’t give a flight attendant an excuse to be rude, but any interactions have to be short, direct, and to the point.
No matter how long you’ve been flying, just remember that there might be some rule or local law that you haven’t come across before.

Be professional and courteous and none of this crap would happen. This is a worthless, sensationalizing post.. if I could block this blog from my boardingarea feed, I would.
People like this woman always think that they are right. If she wanted water, she should have asked for a bottle long before the plane was about to land. Also, people like her think just because she paid to be on that plane that the attendants are her servants. I have seen people like her several times, and i don’t travel that frequently. It seems to be getting even more common these days for people to berate attendants because they weren’t waited on hand and foot, or because they were denied something that they thought they were entitled to. Unfortunately, we live in a world where common sense and respect are becoming non-existent, and people like her grow up thinking that they should get whatever they ask for, regardless.
she should be getting what she wanted. the rules dont necessarily apply to her and i agree with her this was a planned racist event by the airlines.
The police are usually nicer and she should have no problems getting a bottle of water from them
This lady who claims to be flying ‘since she was a baby’, clearly doesn’t understand the regulations on an airplane and what’s worse is that she claims also ‘that she has done this on other airlines’! Doesn’t make any sense, Cry racism for nothing!
The woman was out of line and abused the claim of racism. She couldn’t have been so parched as to need water that close to landing.
It’s a two way street. My wife and I were given a Hindu vegetarian meal containing Chicken by Delta airlines on an international flight. We were in business class. We had specifically asked for a vegetarian meal. My complaint was rudely dismissed. We were told “ That’s all we have “. Of course I will never fly again in Delta. Emeritus airlines on the other hand goes out of their way to accommodate passengers with the meal requirements.
What a sad story!
The Air France passenger may be flying since her child hood, and also knows about her rights. But there is a limit. One can only exercise their right within the limits of safety and framework of rules and law. If it breaks the rule or endangers someone’s life or property then the rights of a person is curtailed.
First time on a plane for this passenger? Did not think that was a bad time to ask for a drink? Give me a break.
Why does this happen? I’ll tell you why this happens. It’s because people want views on TikTok and they know if they do shit like this someone will write a completely unnecessary blog post giving her the attention she seeks . . .
