Woman Who Says She Was Arrested at Las Vegas Airport For ‘Being Too Good Looking’ Detained On Suspicion of Murdering Her Own Mother

A woman who claimed she was recently arrested by police at Las Vegas Airport for being too good looking has been detained by the California Highway Patrol on suspicion of murdering her own mother following a verbal dispute in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The suspect, identified as 28-year-old Hend Bustami is to be charged with open murder and is expected to be extradited back to Las Vegas in the coming days.

Bustami, who has worked a variety of jobs on the Las Vegas strip, including a front of house server at MomoFuku and lifeguard at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, made headlines around the world when she was arrested at Harry Reid International Airport last month.

Police were called on Bustami after she was accused of doing a ‘dine and dash’ at the Chili’s restaurant in Terminal D. She was found after the TSA reported a woman sleeping near a security checkpoint and hindering their operations.

Bustami allegedly told police that she was only being arrested because she was “so good looking”.

A police arrest report described Bustami as “belligerent” and alleged that she threatened to spit on officers. She accused the police of harassing her because “cops had never seen anyone as pretty as her”.

In a press release, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said officers were called to reports of an injured person at an address in South West Las Vegas at 2:34 am on Wednesday morning where they found an unresponsive female suffering from “multiple lacerations”.

The LVMPD Homicide Section alleges that the victim was involved in a verbal argument with her daughter who has been identified as Bustami.

“California Highway Patrol was able to locate and detain Bustami near Barstow, California. Bustami will be charged with open murder and extradited back to Clark County,” the press release explained.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office has not yet revealed the cause of death.
